Jen
Jen took over Eagleridge Golden Retrievers in June of 2020. She has been a Golden Retriever Lover since she was a child and finally got her first at the age of 12. Jen is originally from Utica, NY. She attended Utica University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology. Some of her favorite classes were Parasitology, Genetics, and Anatomy. Jen furthered her career and received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2013. Jen worked as a Physical Therapist and a Multisite Manager for 8 years.
Jen met her wife, Meghan, in 2011 (who also grew up with Goldens). Together they moved to Florida in 2014 and built their first home in 2015. In 2016, they started researching Golden Retriever Breeders in Florida and purchased their first Golden Retriever together (Kaiya) from previous Eagleridge owner, Dennis Williams. Jen and Meghan were married in 2017 on Siesta Key Beach. Jen became a cobreeder of Eagleridge in 2019 and in early 2020 Kaiya’s son, Kodi, was born. Shortly after, Meghan and Jen began their Fertility Journey. They now have two sons, Mason (2) and Elliot (7 months)- and they intend on having at least 2 more!
In her spare time, Jen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, woodworking, and doing home improvement projects.
Jen has a passion for Golden Retrievers and is dedicated to improving the breed. She has started incorporating DNA testing into our breeding program and, with her background in Genetics, is able to more accurately select our breeding pairs to ensure healthy puppies.
